KM Community Treasure Chest

A treasure trove of prizes

The KM Community Treasure Chest is an initiative designed to support the fund-raising activities of charities and good causes in Kent.

Attractions working with the KM Group will provide prizes for charity raffles and auctions and, in the majority of cases, the benefiting group will be expected to highlight this donation through the publicity material promoting the event or activity.

Prizes currently include: family tickets to Leeds Castle, Dickens World, Silver Blades Ice Rink, the Historic Dockyard, Chatham, family ticket to see the Gills play or a five day P&O Ferries crossing voucher for a vehicle and up to nine passengers.


	Leeds Castle
	Simply stunning buildings and grounds LeedsCastle, set on two islands on the River Len in the heart of Kent has been home to royalty, lords and ladies for more than 900 years. Visitors are transported through the castle’s rich history; an eclectic mix of period architecture, sumptuous interiors and family treasures waiting to be discovered. 	Historic Dockyard
	Costumed guides bring maritime heritage alive Discover 400 years of maritime history as you explore the most complete dockyard of Age of Sail and ‘meet’ characters from the past. Be amazed by the working Ropery and make your own rope. Experience life aboard two historic warships with self-guided audio tours, HMS Gannet (1878) the last remaining sloop of Queen Victoria’s navy, and HMS Cavalier (1944) the Second World War destroyer. Take a tour of HM Submarine Ocelot. Be absorbed by the sights, sounds and smells of the dockyard of 1758 in Wooden Walls. 	Gillingham Football Club
	Kent's only league ground Founded in 1893, it took Gillingham 107 years to recognise the dream of Division 1 Football, beating Wigan Athletic 3-2 at Wembley to win the 2000 Division 2 Play-Off Final. Although dreams do not always come true, the Gills, now playing in Coca Cola League One (formerly Division 2), have a bright future. Their home, KRBS Priestfield, is now barely recognisable from 1995, boasting three new stands which have transformed the face of Kent’s only League ground. The stadium is now an all-seater arena with a temporary stand at the Gillingham end of the ground. Dickens World

Attraction celebrates author's life

Dickens World is an innovative and exciting indoor visitor complex themed around the life, books and times of one of Britain’s best loved authors, Charles Dickens.

It takes visitors on a fascinating journey through Dickens’ lifetime as you step back into Dickensian England and are immersed in the streets, sounds and smells of the 19th century.

With a host of captivating attractions, Dickens World features the Great Expectations boat ride, “The Haunted Man”, a state-of-the art animatronic show in Britannia Theatre, Victorian School Room, 4D high definition show and Fagin’s Den.

Dickens World is based on a credible and factual account of Charles Dickens works and the world in which he lived.

Working with The Dickens Fellowship great attention has been paid to the authenticity of the time, characters and story lines.
