Project administrator
- £5,605 per annum. Paid pro rata for 14 hours per week (equivalent to£14,414).
- 5.6 weeks holiday per annum (including public holidays) pro rata
The KM Charity Team needs a special individual able to take charge of the administration and support of charity events supporting good causes in Kent and Medway.
The post-holder will focus the majority of their time supporting collaborative events such as abseils, dragon boat, assault course and big quiz events that help the community raise thousands of pounds every year for charity.
In addition the post-holder will provide admin support for prestigious events including the Kent Teacher of the Year Awards, KM Kent Cooks and the KM Walk to School Awards.
The post-holder will be:
- Proficient with Excel and Word and able to cope with mailings and data handling.
- Have a friendly, confident and diplomatic telephone manner. Calls to charity partners to advise them on how to promote KM Charity Team collaborative events to their supporters is a key part of the role.
- The post-holder will act as an ambassador for the charity developing relationships with staff at charities enthusing them to take up related services provided by the charity.
This permanent position is for 14 hours per week with the hours concentrated into the 40 weeks of the academic year. This means the post-holder will probably aim to work 16 hours per week in term time in order to have the majority of school holidays off.

Bookkeeper
The KM Charity Team is seeking to appoint an experienced bookkeeper to support the organisation’s financial management systems.
- £12 per hour
- 10 hours per week initially increasing to 15 hours per week
- Based at the charity’s Whitstable office
- Flexible hours
The postholder will be competent with double entry bookkeeping; BACS payments; payroll; purchase and sales ledger; creation of financial statements and reports. In addition knowledge of Gift Aid reclamation is desirable but not essential to the post.
The KM Charity Team is a children’s champion and charity champion delivering a range of services to Kent schools to support health and wellbeing, as well as staging a number of collaborative fundraising events used by good causes to support their fundraising.

Volunteer administrator
If you have a few hours to spare each week and want to make a real difference to the lives of the people of Kent, please volunteer some time to support the KM Charity Team.
The charity department at the KM Group is a registered charity delivering a range of services to improve the health and wellbeing of children in our county, as well as supporting hundreds of charities with their fundraising. We now have an opening for four volunteer administrators to support our work.
Volunteer administrators will be based at our office at: KM Charity Team, Gazette House, 5-8 Estuary View business Park, Boorman Way, Whitstable, Kent CT5 3SE.
