Making the walk to school cool in Medway

| | The new coloured tabards |
New brightly coloured walking bus tabards are now available exclusively to families in Medway.
Thanks to funding from Medway Council children and adult helpers taking part in the scheme will be decked out in the pink, red, orange, yellow or green tabards.
The new look tabards are part of a strategy designed to make the walk to school cool which the KM Charity Team hopes will boost numbers even further on bus schemes in Medway.
Currently numbers involved are at an all time high with 40 walking buses operating in Rochester, Gillingham and Chatham.
To request their free coloured tabards families using official KM walking buses have to complete a simple online registration and walk to school consent form.
A newsletter has been sent to all families using the walking bus to encourage them to sign up straight away.
Once complete walking bus families are able to select the size and colour of their choice for participating family members.
